Nagaraj Narayana Bhat's Magic Squares: A Sorry State Story

After a week long stay in Hyderabad, traveling over night I came to Bangalore on Saturday morning. Stressed and strained, but back of my mind, I was prepared to go to my cousin's son's bramopadesham that was scheduled on Sunday in Sagar, Shimoga. Though I was late by a day being back to Bangalore, I had made up my mind and said to myself "let me go, no matter what!" and went to Majestic Railway Station. And to my fate, Intercity Train to Shimoga had just left. Having made my mind, went to Majestic Bus Stand, asked for Volvo and the informant said it has just left and the next one is after an hour or 2. Cursing and cribbing boarded Karnataka Red Bus to Shimoga.

By the time I had reached Tumkur, whatever the battery I had in my laptop that give 5hours power backup had exausted and I had to stop watching the movie, I was watching. As it was a day travel I couldn't get sleep and turned to whatsapp. And found a set of images sent by my friend, which are as below.

Even I was like, Oh! WAW! That's Great! Marvelous! He should be a genius! Howz that possible!

Wait a second!

I'm bored, no work to do! Laptop switched off and this bus driver is driving for ever! 

Let me try creating one on my name.

Got my pen and dairy out

And bang! within 10 mins I was proud I had created something as marvelous as this genius above...

I was not able to believe myself!

Did I really create it without even scribling!!!

Cross checked all the possible combinations, had keyed in 87 instead of 86 corrected it and everything seemed in line. 

Sent it to some friends and the same friends who were proud of the Ramanujam seemed to be jealous of my creation within no time. 

You took 10 min?

Made me wonder was he proud or wanted to test me if I had really created a magic square, so sent this photo 

Stating "still in bus!"

Said "Ah! then only special thing about this is you creating this while traveling in a bus".

Made me wonder, what foolishness!!! An unknown dead guy created a magic square and you are proud of him and circulate similar such messages all over internet and state "Proud to Be Indian". But at the same time, if your own friend recreates it, you have ego problem!!!   

Suddenly another reply "0 can't be in magic square"

Whaaaat!!! who made the rules!!!!

Replied "My Square, My Rules"

Traditionally magic square have been existance since times when Number "0" wasn't in existance. So, traditionally Magic Square started from 1 and consisted of positive numbers. But now, you see magic square with all kind of numbers. positive, negative and involving 0.

 Anyways, my work was just a 10min effort, while I was bored and not a professional work!

But people and their EGO!!!

Anyway, I had one other chance to put my real effort to stand up and recreate again to prove myself.

HENCE

PROVED.

AND THIS WAS CREATED WITHIN 5MIN!!!

WITH NO ZERO or negative number.

Didn't had stop watch with me or haven't made a video of me writing but for sure even the second time I haven't scribbled for right answer!

I believe anyone can do it and with right calculations it hardly takes that much time. 

What hurts is we modern Indians are proud of big names and then when someone our own create something rather than being proud you pass comments and see down. And I have seen this prevalent in most of the Indian upper class people, which is what making us live the life we are living in.

Change your attitute and you may be able to change the way you live and people around you live.

Intelligence is everywhere. Everyone is similarly talented. Some may create x other may create y. 

What gives a fanstatic result is collaboration of x & y.

For all the jealous friends.

I'm an IT Engineer with a MBA from United Kingdom.

If you say you are my friend and aren't in terms with that, I can only feel sorry for you.

I will continue to take my small step to change the way we live while I do what I do!

Crazy Memories Of JNV

I would like to share one of my experiences as a boy growing up in the residential school of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Panchavati,Uttara Kannada.

It was my of 4th year in JNV i.e I was in 9th standard . JNV's have a system where 33 percent of the class students be interchange with 33 percent of class student from a different JNV of different region at this grade. As such the situation , luck/unlucky me , I was among 66 percent of the people who had stayed back.

Why I feel myself luck! Because that year gave me a base for my 10th Standard.
Why unlucky ! Because I had to go through (again) all the humiliations (raging) from the seniors.

Anyways coming to the actual story which I want to narrate in here,

We had one Tuff teacher by name Janardhanan , who used to teach us Social Studies. We used to call him "Janna" (with respect) . As we kids remember, he was an extrovert. Whenever he walked, his shoes would make a distinct noise which every kid JNV was aware of. I believe the shoe sole was made wood.

We had his class (social studies class) scheduled right after tiffin (most of the days) i.e 3rd period when all MP student would be sitting in other class for there Kannada lecture and we local kids in another for our Social Studies. (similarly visa-versa during Kannada class)

At that point of time ,in our JNV we have 3 Houses (later it was divided into 4). I was in Nehru House (later Nilgiri). And as a system everyone used to shared mess duty according to rotation policy.

On one particular day, me and my Nehru house 9th class boys had this so called mess duty. As always late lattif i.e me , I was late from all the rest (reason being Mess duty). But for my surprise the punctual Janna who was always on time was not in the classroom yet.He was bit late that day (which hardly used to happen) .

I had a fibre writing pad (costing about 45Rs) gifted by my pappa. When I tapped that fibre pad it made a similar sound as that of Janna shoes. I had a long running crazy Idea about testing that sound.

What I did was this.

I tapped the writing pad which was of fibre and made a exact sound with frequency and rhythm as Janna's shoes always did and walked into the classroom and for my (no) surprise all my classmates stood up to wish me "GOOD MOrneeeee.........." and then came the scoldings...

Issue: BMTC Buses don't stop.

What's going on : Bus stop is converted into Parking Lot and Buses stop at a signal 30mts away from the actual stop.

Peacock

This magnificent and memorable moment/experience was captured in Sirsi Bus Stand.
A place in Uttara Kannada (North Canara) Dist. of Karnataka.
Its been said that there are about 6 peacocks seen around but in the short time I stayed there I could only manage to see only 2 of them. (5 Minutes)

I had to run as I was short of time and the bus me & my parents were traveling in, was ready to move.

It is so that these peacock are not caged and they did move freely with me . They even started to come near my feet . You could even see a snap where I could manage to sit in front of it and take the snap .










I always used to tell my parents that animals just come near me without any reason and I showed them in reality when I was capturing these wonderful moments .

It was possible for me to create this wonderful moments for my self and these wonderful photo's for you guys just by living the distinction my Guru had thought me . i.e
" If you want to be loved, create space around you so that love can come to you ".
As air gets filled in vacuum , this nature's love came to me when I just stood there .

How I Entered Navodaya Vidyalaya

It was rainy day of october of 1996.I had got the news that I was selected for the great JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA.
On that day I was in full swing.After coming to office UDC showed me my snap ,my chest got even broader.
As it was written in the letter ,that was just a confirmation day , I was asked to come after some 10 days to join the vidyalaya .I spoke to our then principal Joseph M.And gave a outh to stay in the Vidyalaya till the completion of my 12th(And I actually did that after all the odds ).

I was said that I'm a second batch student and there were already classes were going on .I was showed the classroom which was next to boys toilet (in Kumta ).

I had an information that there was a girl called Ashwini (Name changed) who was from my native and from my previous school(different section) JVD,Dandeli(I had a bit confusion in the matter,in fact lot )So I went to classroom out of curiosity to know her.


Now here comes a real embracing situation .....
Sannegouda Sir was there in the classroom and sent her after a bit of chat.
She got totally shy and I was in dilemma as to how to seduce her so that I can have some one for rest of my life in navodaya (I'm was thinking this because I was from a culture were I was made to sit in between 2 girls in my previous school , as I used to talk too much).

Now here we go ...
After bit of chat with Ashiwini, Sannegouda Sir offered me to sit in the classroom ......
What I did was walked behind her to sit along with her .
When I was about to sit,I got frightened due to the noise produced by all the people in the class.

OH MY GOD!!!!!

If u r thinking "why I'm here?" Then this is the right place u r supposed to be.

CRAP? Just wait for a sec. Change Ur mind comeback.I know u have lost many A opportunity.And I really don't want u to loose this one.So I'm pleading u to continue.

Let me introduce my self .I'm Nagaraj Bhat. An INFORMATION SCIENCE student of Sir M.Visvesvaraya Institute of technology,Bangalore.As per the date.

I was one among the guys who made it into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya's. A free residential school completely aided from central govt. of India @ my 12 age.

Coming back to the context of making a difference in life;
One Tuesday past 10 months back in June 2006,My friend called me for an evening session for something called LANDMARK EDUCATION.

I was there sharp 6:45 pm as he had asked me to be..

Some Dick head Sardar came up the stage and everyone stood up and started to clap.
And my friend whispered in my ear "This is the man who transformed me.Do u know he was once CFO of Microsoft ?" I stared @ him as to wat is he up against ?

He replied calmly back as a response to my body language"CFO means Chief Financial Officer".

At that instant I gottu know the person is out of mind and giving damn to him I started to enjoy the evening looking at all possible beautiful,wonderful and gorgeous girls. And believe most girls were so charming that I was confused whom to look @ first.

As the ancient KAMASUTRA author Vatsayana describes "A lady socked in the milk and honey".Most of the girls were soo gorgeous.

I was enjoying my evening in the manner,and suddenly this sardar who turned out to a mind reader for me started saying "Now I'm going to tell u something u can't digest".He said "Till now no one of u were listing to me".

Most of them were astonished to hear that but "I got it,I was not listening to him".
Then he came on the topic again explained us wat he really meant.

Man I felt it, It was so true.
But one thing was certain they were marketing some product and they have brain washed my friend or I don't know wat and all.
He was not the same person I used to see. Changes were in the positive manner tho, First time ever in entire being with him,he was not really forcing me into something he was requesting me for.
And that's all the saga was I got myself registered in the program.

And trust me life is never the same again.
